On loan at Blackburn, Morton has developed into an all-rounded midfielder, who is not only capable of strong defensive displays but can create chances for his teammates as well. Often overlooked as a genuine option for Liverpool next season, it would be premature to make that assumption considering his exciting form this season. The Reds will need at least one or two signings in that department however, he could bolster Klopp's options and give him another pair of legs to work with. Morton, alone, of course won't solve Liverpool's midfield issue. Despite the fact that the club is an admirer of the Borussia Dortmund midfielder - and who wouldn't be - the reality for FSG is apparently that it may be too expensive to bring him to Anfield.
It's now looking more likely, per The Athletic, that Jude Bellingham is not going to be joining Liverpool in the summer. Time and time again Klopp has proven his prowess in the latter, and the Liverpool manager's knack for getting the best out of his players and taking them onto the next phase in their careers is going to be needed in the years ahead. Often, the club has to trust in its own scouting and in its manager's player development. Because of the way Liverpool operates, FSG cannot afford to always buy the shiniest new toy for Jürgen Klopp.
